
Patricia J. Hacker-Harber 75, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Community South Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born July 3, 1939 in Bloomington, Indiana, to Millard and Pearl (Ragan) Hacker.
Patricia was a 1957 graduate of Bloomington High School, Bloomington, Indiana. Following high school, she worked for the City of Indianapolis, was the owner and operator of her own hair salon and above all was a published poet. She had a passion for art and possessed an inherent talent for playing piano, guitar and other musical instruments.
Survivors include her sister, Debbie (Jim Staton) Cook-Staton, Kokomo; brothers, Millard (Sandy) Hacker, New Whiteland and Bill (Gwen) Hacker, Bloomington; two daughters, Tammy Harber, Evansville, Tricia (Matt Crawford) Kincaid-Crawford, Indianapolis; two sons, Erick (Laneisha Law) Harber, Columbus, Caleb (Stephanie Sherlock) Harber, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Taylor Kincaid, Tessa (Nick) Irwin, Erick (Kaylee) Harber, Jeremy (April) Harber, , Kaatje Harber; seven great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces who loved her dearly and her best friend for many years, Joyce Hamson.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Millard F. Hacker, mother, Pearl Stevens; step-father, John Stevens; brother, Herman Childress.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17 at Burgoon Baptist Church, 8598 E. Burgoon Church Rd., Bloomington, Indiana. Religious leader, Harold Godsey, will be officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
